On IVAO, you have to be more detailed regarding the equipment code. And I have no doubt that flying RNAV procedures or DIR TOs using the CIVA is much more complicated than with an FMC If the CIVA is equipped, I would choose /Z (RVSM, RNAV, no GNSS, Mode C). In case of Vatsim and without CIVA, I would have selected /W (RVSM, no RNAV, no GNSS,Mode C), since the 727 has no GNSS and in this case no RNAV. Meanwhile, I did some research regarding the equipment code. This would contribute to the overall feeling, since EFBs weren't available at the time of the 727 I guess I'll have to stick with the Navigraph app here. This is exactly the kind of tool I was looking the app looks quite cool, but unfortunately it is not available for Android. Even though this requires an extra turn, it can be flown without vectors from the thanks for the link. But at least in Europe, where I fly most of the time, there is often one apporach available that has a VOR or at least an NDB as IAF. Currently I indeed often vector myself with the help of the ND. Furthermore, there are also SIDs and STARs which can be flown with VOR/DME only, even though I haven't found a way to identified them from the title I guess I'll just have to give it a good point.
